Data Reporting Calendar

  • 2014 data will be publicly reported no earlier than 2015 on all measures collected through GPRO for groups of all sizes; providers will have a 30-day preview period of their data.
  • A detailed timeline for the preview will be provided in advance of its start.
  • Individual quality measure data collected in 2014 will be publicly reported in 2015. The measures will be in line with those measures reported by groups in GPRO. The measures relate mostly to diabetes and coronary artery disease, but include other measures as well.

  • 2015 data will be publicly reported on all PQRS GPRO measures collected via the web interface, registry, and EHR.
  • All 2015 measures reported by ACOs will be publicly reported, regardless of reporting mechanism; a minimum sample size of 20 patients is required.
  • Patient experience of care measures will be publicly reported via the CAHPS for PQRS and CAHPS for ACOs. This applies to group practices of 2 or more EPs and ACOs reporting via a CMS-approved certified survey vendor.
  • For individual EPs, all 2015 PQRS measures collected via an EHR, registry, or claims will be publicly reported. QCDR measures will be reported on individual EPs, PQRS and non-PQRS measures, but not first year measures.

Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs)

ACOs are groups of physicians, hospitals, or other providers who voluntarily organize with each other to provide coordinated, high-quality care to Medicare patients.

  • All measures collected in 2014 will be published in 2015, including all measures collected through the GPRO, and the 3 claims-based and 1 administrative measure finalized by the Shared Savings Program for 2014.

It is each provider's responsibility to know and to understand the requirements and consequences of each reporting program in which he or she participates.
