Membership Protocol

Membership in the Spine Intervention Society is available to physicians who are Board Certified or in the examination process for certification* in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery. Provisional membership is available for physicians a medical specialty that is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

*If you are in the process of board certification, the Society requires verifying documentation. Failure to complete board certification will result in the termination of membership. International physicians must demonstrate similar qualifications in their country of residence.

Note: Membership in the Spine Intervention Society does not automatically approve you to attend our hands-on bio-skills labs. Please reference the Bio-Skills Lab Protocol for further information.


Membership Categories

 
North American / Provisional - $395.00
Physicians residing in North American who are ABMS and AOA Board Certified, or in the examination process for certification.
 
International - $195.00
Physicians residing outside of North America who are ABMS and AOA Board Certified, or in the examination process for certification or the equivalent status in their country of residence.
 
Military - $95.00
Physicians actively serving in the United States Military who are ABMS and AOA Board Certified or in the examination process for certification. Non-active military physicians practicing in VA hospitals do not qualify for Military membership, but are welcome to apply for North American / Provisional membership.
 
Residents / Fellows - FREE (contact the office for more details: 630.203.2252)
Physicians who are ABMS and AOA Board Certified, or in the examination process for certification (or the equivalent status in their country of residence) and who are currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program. Residents and Fellows also get discounts to most Educational Events while enrolled in their program.
