DEA Announces Moving Hydrocodone Combination Products from Schedule III to Schedule II

The U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued a final rule with a decision to move hydrocodone combination products (HCPs) from Schedule III to the more restrictive Schedule II of the Controlled Substances Act.  Schedule II drugs are subject to tighter restrictions and cannot be refilled.
