In 2016, CMS will apply a negative payment adjustment to individual eligible professionals (EPs), Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) practice sites, and group practices participating in the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) group practice reporting option (GPRO) (including Accountable Care Organizations [ACOs]) that did not satisfactorily report PQRS in 2014. For more information on the 2014 Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS): Incentive Eligibility & 2016 Negative Payment Adjustment, go to the Analysis and Payment section of the PQRS website.
For groups with 10 or more eligible professionals (EPs) that are subject to the 2016 Value Modifier, CMS established an Informal Review Period to request a correction of a perceived error in their 2016 Value Modifier calculation. Additional information about the 2014 QRURs and how to request an informal review is available on the 2014 QRUR website
Those who believe they have been incorrectly assessed under these programs now have until December 16, 2015 to submit an informal review via the Quality Reporting Communication Support Page (CSP). This is an extension from the previous deadlines of November 23 and December 11.
