Society Member Asks for Your Input – Research Survey Opportunity
Wednesday, December 16, 2015
Often in the course of conducting research, it is helpful for investigators to obtain information about current practice patterns, values, or other issues and opinions from physicians. The Research Division of the Spine Intervention Society has reviewed and approved dissemination of the following survey to Society members. Your participation is voluntary.
Are Patient Satisfaction Surveys Altering How Physicians Practice?
The use of patient satisfaction surveys has become more widespread over the past several years. However, unlike several other outcome measures, their validity has not been proven. No studies have addressed the utility of patient satisfaction surveys from physicians’ perspectives, or how they alter physicians’ practice patterns. The purpose of this survey is to obtain physicians’ opinions about patient satisfaction surveys, and to determine if these surveys are altering practice patterns.
