Requirements to attend this course are as follows:
- Current ISIS Member
- Board Certified/Eligible in at least one of these specialties; Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
- Members who are not board certified in any of the above specialties must have completed or be currently enrolled in an ACGME Pain Fellowship and have taken an ISIS Lumbar course
During this 12-hour neurostimulation and intrathecal pumps procedures course the following techniques will be taught: - Lumbar, low thoracic, caudal, foraminal approaches
- Cervical lead placement advanced techniques
- Advanced pocket development SCS and IT Pump
- Occipital stim and subcutaneous electroanalgesia field techniques
- Advanced anchoring techniques SCS and IT Catheters
- Advanced IT Pump Placement: Subrectus/gluteal
In addition, there will be lectures and didactics covering: - Granuloma Treatment
- Avoidance of Granulomas
- Partition Coefficient Concepts
- Standard and Non-Standard Medications
