BIO-SKILLS LAB PROTOCOL
Membership in the Society is required to attend any hands-on bio-skills labs.
Who may attend?
Members who are board certified or in the examination process for
certification in the following specialties: Anesthesiology, Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery
and Neurosurgery. Members who are not board certified in these
specialties must have completed or be currently enrolled in an ACGME
Pain Fellowship Program and begin at the Lumbar level.
Requirements for Fellow and Resident
Fellows and Residents Members must be board eligible in one of the
above 6 specialties and are required to enroll in lumbar as their first
hands-on bio-skills course. Fellow members who are board certified in
one of the above 6 specialties may submit a waiver request to start
instruction at the advanced lumbar level. The waiver request must come
from the Fellowship Program Director and needs to attest to the
member’s skill level. Waiver requests must be submitted via email to email@example.com.
During this 13-hour lumbar procedures course, needlecraft and the
following techniques will be taught:
