Requirements to attend this course are as follows:
  • Current ISIS Member
  • Board Certified/Eligible in at least one of these specialties; Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
  • Allied Health Professionals who work with fluoroscopic c-arm imaging for interventional spine pain management injections and procedures

During this 8.5-hour lumbar fluoroscopic imaging course the following techniques will be taught:

  • Caudal / Interlaminar Epidural Access
  • Sacroiliac Joint Injections
  • Sympathetic Injections
  • Intraarticular Zygapophysial Joint/Medial Branch Block
  • S1 Transforaminal Epidural Injections
  • L4 & L5 Transforaminal Epidural Injections
  • Interlaminar
  • Stellate Ganglion
  • Transforaminal
  • Medial Branch Block
  • Intraarticular Zygapophysial Joint
  • C1-2 (A-A) Joint

In addition, there will be lectures and didactics covering:

  • Fluoroscope Components
  • Fluoroscope Features
  • Radiation Safety
  • Image Quality
  • C-arm Movement
