Each year ISIS reviews the composition of its divisions and committees and as the terms of the current members come to an end, new members are considered during the ISIS Annual Scientific and Business Meeting.
An appointment to serve as an ISIS volunteer, as a nationally and internationally renowned voice for the development and promotion of the highest standards for spine intervention procedures, is a high distinction, an honor, and a remarkable opportunity to influence the field at the highest level.
ISIS members who are interested in serving on the Health Policy Division are encouraged to send their CV along with a brief personal statement indicating their area of interest and outlining any pertinent qualifications to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 15, 2014.
The ISIS Health Policy Division advocates for an appropriate level of patient access to quality spine interventions through:

o Educating payers and government entities about the benefits of spinal interventions and conscientious application of evidence.
o Promoting appropriate coding and reimbursement by actively participating in panels developing CPT coding and values for each CPT code.
o Providing input on regulations, legislation and rules that impact the field of spinal interventions.
