Major CPT Coding Changes for ISIS Members

Posted By Administration, Wednesday, February 15, 2012
Updated: Wednesday, February 15, 2012

As of January 1st 2012, many CPT® coding changes will go into effect; among them, significant changes, of great importance to ISIS members. These changes affect:

  • Radiofrequency denervation procedures
  • Sacroiliac joint injection procedures
  • Epidural injections
  • Implanted pumps
  • Neurostimulators
  • Electromyography and more

It is extremely important to assure that physicians and their staff understand the new coding language and make necessary changes in reporting in order to assure billing and coding compliance; as well as to avoid claim denials and delays of payment. ISIS members can obtain a summary of the major changes by logging onto the Member Headlines.
