The responsibilities of the Socioeconmic Committee are: to represent the interests of ISIS members and ISIS as a responsible member of the AMA House of Delegates, and to participate in the representation of membership and ISIS at the major functions of the AMA including CPT and RUC panels, to build and maintain inter-societal working relationships within the context of AMA, CPT, and RUC to further these goals, to oversee and provide counsel to the BOD on socioeconomic issues including coding, that may affect ISIS or its members, to recommend to the BOD which state, regional, or international issues the resources of the SEC may be best used to represent the best interests of ISIS and its membership, to designate and support primary and alternate representatives to the AMA, CPT, and RUC, and to exclude the best interest of ISIS in these arenas.
